HONEY PRODUCTION IN FIJI

Beekeeping has become one of the fastest growing industries in Fiji. Beekeeping or Apiculture was attractive to the Fijian government as an additional potential source of rural income that did not require a big investment to get started. The industries origin began in 1975. Honey is harvested once every two months if the climatic conditions cooperate. More than 200 tonnes of honey was harvested in 2005 and current 2006 forecasts are 250 tonnes.


PAPUA NEW GUINEA ’S DEADLIEST SNAKES

An issue for the reptile lovers! There are over 80 species of snakes in Papua New Guinea, excluding sea snakes. There still remains many parts of the country unstudied by researchers. Given time, there will be undoubtedly further discoveries of new species. More remarkable than the species count is the diversity of colour, form and habits.


DOES YOUR CREDIT CARD EXPIRE IN 2010???

Our apologies for a little computer glitch. In 1998 we amended our expiry date checking routine to take in the new century.  At the time we thought 2010 was a long, long way away.  Also in those days cards mostly lasted two years. Now we have several customers with 2010 expiry dates on their card and our computer has been rejecting them. This month we have fixed that little problem.

- Treatment with honey, called Apitherapy, has been known for its healing properties for thousands of years.

The prices, which include GST, are valid for a limited period and will increase before they appear in any price list or advertisement.  Overseas customers receive a 10% discount to compensate for the GST.

Please note that Packing and Postage are extra.  Within Australia: $1 on all orders less than $20.

Overseas: Asia & Pacific $2.50 on all orders.  Rest of the World $3.70.
