SEVEN SEAS SUPPLIMENTS FOR 2009

The usual pages for Australia and AAT are now available.  The prices are as follows:

Australia 2009 Hingeless $40.70   Australia Standards $26.40   Aust. Antartic Terr. $6.60

There is a set of 62 optional pages which are available on request.  If you want the lot it will cost $176.00. We can supply specific pages on request to accommodate certain souvenir sheets, gutter strips or booklets.  We can send you an order form if required.

Prices are Plus Packing and Postage as usual.

We will be sending these supplements together with this Warbler to all those that have standing orders for the above.  If you don’t receive them with this Warbler, then please place your order.  Just a reminder that the pages for Christmas Island, Cocos (Keeling) Islands and the Pacific Islands will appear sometime after May 2010.

AUSTRALIA POST ISSUES

We expect that the collectors of Australian Stamps, when they see the above pages for 2009, will find that they have certain issues missing.  It happens every year.  We will do our best to fill any orders.

The best way to improve your chances of getting Australia complete as per Seven Seas pages is to have a standing order with Pacific Stamps with the specific instructions that you want “all issues as per Seven Seas standard pages”.  Some keen collectors may even specify to include “all optional pages”.

As our older customers know, we have always concentrated on the Pacific Islands and initially we supplied Australian stamps as a service to our overseas clients.  This gradually grew to a regular full-scale service.  Lately it is becoming increasingly difficult to guarantee supply of all Australia Post items, as the range has increased enormously. We are all aware of the different formats, especially Gummed and Self-adhesive, sheetlets and booklets. And then we have cut up booklets to provide self-adhesive stamp sets.

Hence we are issuing the warning we may not be able to supply all items to everyone in the future. We always give preferential treatment to our standing order customers if there is a shortage or scarcity of any item. Thereafter it is First Come, First Served.

YEAR OF THE TIGER

Its seems to become a tradition this time each year to get very interested in the predictions of the Chinese New Year, and most philatelic bureaux  see it as a golden opportunity to sell a ongoing series of stamps,  2010 will be no exception.  The year of the Tiger is usually a year of change and turbulence and we would not be surprised if this was the case in 2010.

The first of the stamps issues on the subject are listed on pages 2 and 3.

NON PACIFIC BIRD ISSUES

Page 4 is full of recent arrivals. Again they are not necessarily brand new issues, but they are new to us. Where they are before 2009, we have listed the year.

In the next issue of the Warbler we will resume our list of back issues.
